Side by side, we build the rapport that binds us; in the same boat, we turn it into strength.

    In September, the mountains and the sea of Guangdong were our companions. On September 11-12, Morion Nanotech held its 2026 annual team building in Huizhou. Leaving desks and paperwork behind, the Morion team set off to keep its rendezvous with the mountains and the sea. Under the theme “Ride the Wind to the Sea, Go Far as One,” the Morion team spent two days on a shared journey of creation, collaboration, trust, and moving forward together.

01 | From Zero to One, Building a Boat Together

It began with a bamboo pole, a float, and a sail — and with that, a challenge built on collaboration and trust officially got under way.

Bamboo poles, floats, ropes, sails... There was no ready-made answer, only a shared goal. Teams were formed, roles assigned, ideas exchanged, plans adjusted — and separate parts gradually became a sailboat truly ready to head out to sea. Some built, some painted the sail, some coordinated, some executed. Different roles, different duties, all connected by the same goal. Every link held tight and every effort converged, and together they delivered the final result: the “Great Sailboat.”

Only when each person does their own part well can a team accomplish something greater.

Creating something from nothing is innovation; turning individuals into a team is collaboration. This is also a snapshot of how Morion works every day: each person owns their role while meshing with the others, each plays to their strengths while moving in the same direction.

02 | Hoisting the Sails, Riding the Waves Together

With the sailboat finished, the sails went up. All colleagues boarded the boat they had built with their own hands, rowing in unison and cutting through the waves. On the sea, every advance required one shared rhythm; along the voyage, every person was an indispensable part of the whole.

What really drives a boat forward is never the strength of any single person, but a group of people pulling in the same direction.

This was both a sailing experience and a vivid lesson in teamwork — meeting the unknown with courage, meeting challenges through collaboration, and giving everything to the goal. In that moment, “in the same boat” stopped being just a phrase and became the most genuine team experience, earned through mutual trust and shared effort.

03 | Mountains and Sea, Enjoying the Journey Together

After a day of collaborative challenges, the evening got under way under a canopy by the sea — barbecue, sea breeze, and laughter.

Setting aside the busyness, everyone talked and connected in a relaxed atmosphere; away from familiar workplaces, they saw a livelier side of one another amid the mountains and the sea. The next day, the Morion team headed out to sea again, sailing out of East Bay, Huizhou on catamarans and feeling the wind and the waves between blue water and blue sky, adding more shared memories to this rendezvous with the mountains and the sea.

The value of a team building lies not only in having seen the same mountains and sea, but in turning shared experiences into shared memories and carrying that rapport into the next collaboration and the next hard-won challenge.

04 | Ride the Wind to the Sea, Go Far as One

How far a boat can travel depends on its direction — and on every person aboard.

From technology R&D to product commercialization, from the laboratory to the production line, from one person's exploration to a team moving forward together — every breakthrough on Morion's journey rests on the professional dedication of every role, the efficiency of cross-departmental collaboration, and a commitment to long-term value. A truly strong team is not one that never meets rough waters, but one that, when the waves rise, still has someone steering, someone rowing, and someone standing shoulder to shoulder — always moving in the same direction.

Looking toward a longer voyage, we will continue to take innovation as our sail and collaboration as our oars, turning each person's expertise and dedication into a powerful force that drives the organization forward. We are also grateful for every measure of trust and every companion on this journey — the recognition of our clients, the partnership of our collaborators, and everyone who has supported Morion's growth.

"In the same boat" is not only for one team building — it is about every moment of mutual trust and moving forward together. Looking ahead, we will keep turning that trust and support into the momentum to move forward, continuing to explore and press ahead steadily on the voyage of graphene industrialization.

The mountains and the sea keep their promise; the journey together never ends. Ride the wind to the sea, go far as one. On the next leg, the Morion team will keep standing shoulder to shoulder — and keep moving forward.
